The Idian Depths, besides known as Katalam Underground KR/EU was a big metro cavern arrangement that served as the crippled ‘s primary endgame PvPvE region between patches 4.0 and 4.8. It was introduced as the third gear and final examination newfangled area of the 4.0 update, and was open to players of degree 65 and above. For much of the 4.0 update the Idian Depths contained the entrances for about all of the ( at the time ) endgame instances, and besides offered promptly available amounts of the highly valuable through a assortment of quests. Bosses and named monsters on the map could be hunted for extra rewards, such as gear. All these factors made it a heatedly contested and active placement, both for PvE and PvP purposes. The Idian Depths are considered to be a great rate to extract Ide thanks to bountiful Idium mines within. primitively, this place was intended to be an hand brake shelter for the Danuar in preparation for the consequence where Tiamat ‘s forces would gain arrant control over Katalam and Danaria during the invasion. The few Danuar who had survived the attack evacuated here, but before long they fell to a destructive malfunction in one of their weapons, leaving the rate unattended. Tiamat finally made her means to the Idian Depths and discovered the ancient weapons left behind by the Danuar, prompting her to research how to use and replicate them. Her aspirations fell short when Beritra betrayed her to gain control of this mystery research and left her to die in Tiamaranta. After Tiamat ‘s death, the remnants of her armies which had scattered across Katalam came down to Idian Depths to avoid the attacks from the Daevas and Beritra ‘s forces. From here, they divided into two opposing factions : those who dreamt of a brilliant comeback and those who made a pledge of loyalty to Beritra. During the Upheaval the Daevas, fearing a break down of the structure, fled out to seek protection from Beritra ‘s invasion, only leaving Shugos behind. As the disaster ‘s chaos settled down, Daevas discovered the Idian Depths largely entire. They created mysterious portals in the remaining regions to access it at will. Although by and large the same, the only presence from their opposing faction were the leftover banners on the walls .

once the last stand of the Danuar, this underground cavern system is littered with ruins and other relics haunted by the ghosts of the ancient slipstream. The remnants of Tiamat ‘s forces have taken up residency in some of the areas, while Beritra ‘s legions have arrived here in their search of . meanwhile, the Elyos Guardian Detachment, Asmodian Archon Battlegroup and Shugo Commerce Union have besides ventured into the Idian Depths in research of new opportunities, profits, cognition and anything else that could allow them to gain the upper hand.

Segarunerk ‘s Bazaar served as the neutral ground and base of operations for both races. The town was split into two halves, with the Asmodian NPCs & Elyos obelisk being located in the leave half and the Elyos NPCs & Asmodian obelisk in the right half. Shugos put up ranging services were found in both halves, but most would only accept as a currentness. Players would need to cross between the two halves frequently, so it was advised to stay near the Shugo Guard NPC patrolling the connect corridor ( contest area ) in order to prevent being picked out. Idian Depths was the main PvPvE area of 4.0 and a great place to both farm for kinah and PvP. There used to be daily quests for and Manastone Bundles, and the monsters could drop anything ranging from ancient manastones to the materials needed to craft , along with other valuable drops. There were several legendary and ultimate grad boss monsters that could be hunted in groups or alliances for rare gear or exclusive skins. A Shugo NPC would randomly engender at one out of four possible locations at times, and allow players to trade in any disused AP or gear pieces in render for AP, at the best possible rates in the game .

Post-Upheaval ( 4.8+ )

With the 4.8 update this area was transformed into a farm sphere for players to slay monsters for drops. All special merchants, like the Ancient Coin traders and faction-specific NPCs were moved to other areas, leaving only basic NPCs such as the Soul Healers, General Goods Merchants, Trade Brokers and Warehouse NPCs behind. Named bosses were besides removed from the map, leaving behind entirely generic monsters for players to kill. Unlike its harbinger, each cabal uses its own ‘copy ‘ of this map after 4.8, meaning there is no room to meet the enemy cabal inside. Drops in this area may vary from to common ancient manastones, but are largely debris.

The most desire item was the , a special detail that had a small prospect to drop from any monster on the map and could be sold to a seller for 100 million kinah. This detail was secretly removed from sink tables in both regions in a by and by eyepatch, purportedly to combat aureate sellers and bots which had begun to overrun the region .
